What is the best heat transfer for dark color t shirts. Also what is the best material? 100% cotton, 50/50 or 100% poly

I have used many different typed in the past. Inkjet & Laser. I Seem to like 3g opaque the most. JetPro opaque 2 . And It works great @350 F 30 seconds 100% cotton, Pigment inks.

Thanks for the information. Can I ask you another question? I have purchased new tee shirts for the transfers. Do you wash the new shirts or do you press them without washing them.

Press without washing.

We use Blue Grid from SeSpecialty.com for darks. Great prices.

the glue used in 0:45 is helpful for smooth surface better contact. Wash properly

I would recommend the 3-G Opaque, I think it is consistent and provides the best overall quality when everything is considered.

I have looked at many shirts done by folks that think they are using the "best" paper and IMO none reached my standard for "best"....So get some samples of actual shirts and see if the results meets your standards....To me this is like chasing a "pot of gold" at the end of a rainbow.....Some believe and some do not.....

What sticky stuff? On the t-shirt? If you're pressing darks, you peel the backing off and press the transfer down on the t-shirt. Sticky side down. Don't think it's really that sticky though.

Anything that is sticky when hot should come off with a "Cold Peel"

For self weed inkjet a laser printer is still needed. Image clip was a name I used in the past. I currently use NO self weeding items.

Al,
ink jet papers are not self-weeding. They're designed to be used with a contour-cut process using a vinyl cutter. You print the image on the paper with registration marks, cut it out with the plotter, then weed or remove the excess area. then you heat apply the decal to the garment.
We offer a product called DarkJET that works with all inkjet printers and produces good opacity.
If you want self-weeding paper, you'll need a laser printer like the GO UNO.

We are developing a cold peel self weeding paper for ink jet sublimation and white laser toner to use with the Image Clip for dark B paper.

I asked to see if anyone else had it so we wouldn,t have to make it for my patent.
