Hello all, this is pretty much a noob question. I have searched the forum and seen contradicting answers, on some older threads.

I just bought my first heat press so I can start a little business and I am trying to figure out which t shirts are the best quality without breaking the bank while I start. Some threads say Gildan is a good way to go, while others say to avoid them all together. What is your opinion on this brand, and which model would be best? I am looking for something that won't shrink or stretch out alot after a few washes.

Again if there is a thread on this I apologize, I may have just used the wrong search terms for that particular thread.

Thanks in advance for any help,

Gamy

You are finding contradicting answers because there is no one right answer. You ask 10 different people you may just get 10 different answers. The shirt you choose depends on your market. Car clubs and the like - Gildan, college students - fashion fit tees, etc. As for a shirt that won't shirk they all will even the ones that say pre-shrunk. Tell us what type of tees /market and maybe we can recommend something.

Thanks for the reply, I would say it would be geared more towards the college crowd and older. It will be just basic things for now while we learn, things like sayings and basic designs. I just don't want to start off with a horrible tee.

Phone around some suppliers - they will send you some samples and just see which you prefer - like taricp35 says there is no definitive best quality T - everyone has a different favourite.

One that we recommend to our customers in the UK is the Starworld Super Heavy T - great price, great weight, great colour range and a really nice fit (and ethically made!). I know they are available throughout Europe - not sure about the US. Can't go wrong with a Hanes Beefy either...
