what is the best brand of shirt to print on? i went to one place and all they use is jerzees? 50/50 . i'm new to this but i don't want to bulk order the wrong shirts:confused:

The one that we have found looks the best is the Hanes Tagless 100% cotton t-shirts. Do not use Hanes Beefy T's.

I do suggest that whatever brand you use you stick to 100% cotton garments, not 50/50. All the direct to garment textile inks are water based and will adhere best and be brightest on 100% cotton.

My vote goes to the Hanes 5250. 6.1 oz tagless T...also a less expensive shirt...tight weave.

I too love the hanes tagless. To me they feel much softer then the gildans but print great. The gildans print good too, but I just like the feel of the hanes tagless better.

There are so many non traditional t shirt companies out there. Though Hanes and Gildan may print well they fit horribly compared to newer progressive fashion fit companies. If your'e doing any work for small clothing companies or anyone in the fashion industry Hanes and gildan won't cut it. I would suggest spending more on Amerincan Apparel, Royal apparel or Article 1 apparel. They are all about the same price but print super well and don't stain or discolor with a heat press. Cheaper and better fitting would be Cygnus, Core or Next Level (next level being the wors of the 3 for printing). 100% cotton is a given. Break the mold man enjoy some good quality and good fiting t's.

As with Equipment Zone I would agree the Hanes 5250 are hands down the best. Ive also had very good luck with Anvil and especially the American Apparel although it seems their dyes seem to fade out a bit quicker after some washings (unless you like the faded look, on the garment not the prints)

Happy printing!
