If you are limited on what you can find and that you like that is in the UK, you may want to consider making your own or seeing which US company would work with you in shipping charges.
I have another business, I ship overseas quite a bit and there are good shipping options. It's an option, good luck though :/

MDP Supplies are way cheaper than Target for Stahls. I ordered mine at 4.30pm on a Friday, paid the £6 for Saturday delivery, and received it before 11am on Saturday Morning.

Excellent service.

This is my first heat press. After taking note of all the posts on the forum regarding the benefits of American made over Chinese, imagine my disappointment when I saw the words 'Made in Hong Kong' on the makers plate.

I didnt pay the asking price, most things are negotiable. Plus you cant beat target for service, but each to their own.

My Maxx press says made in USA, did you buy the cheap one ?
I only bought the clam shell, because that is good enough for my needs, but at £500 you could hardly describe it as cheap. I don't think any of them are openly marketed as being Chinese.

Only the Hotronix brand within the Stahls group claim to make heat presses in the USA, which has always been true as far as I know.

Plus, not all Chinese heat presses are cheap imitations of US/European-made products and not everyone is hiding the fact that the presses they supply may be built in China:

Hi,

Was the repair expensive? I went to see Target and they have a reception room where they brought the press to show me. I didn't see much selection like Magic Touch or Xpress. Why?

So, they are good at after sale service. I am thinking of buying Hotronix Fusion 16x20". Any other suggestions? Adkin seems to be not so popular.

i bought a hotronix from target about 4 years ago, it has only broke down once, they overnighted a loaner to me (mine went back in the loaner box) while they fixed it, so only one day downtime, brilliant service.
