Hey Guys,
I've had a heat press but now ready to purchase a screen printing set up. I'm limited on space with about 900sq' to work with. Looking to see which of these packages would best suit my needs.
I have no equipment yet and need a full set up. Looking for a min 4 color 4 station set up with micros, flash dyer, aluminum screens, exposure unit.
Thanks for any advice.

Do you have screen printing experience..? If so I would get a 6/6, flash dryer, and conveyor dryer. Don't waste your money on a starter set up. I prefer and use 6/6 workhorse press with a big buddy conveyor dryer and a 16" flash dryer. I should have bought 18". My exposure unit is home built with a 1000w metal halide bulb.

900sq' is more than enough space. I have 960sq' and get a full 6/6 garment set up as well as 60/40 graphic bench and drying racks. Plenty of room for office, work benches and washout/exposure areas.

Buy the best press you can afford ( with aluminium platens), a good flash unit and a 24"+ wide conveyor (on wheels for convenience). If necessary cut back on the cost of the exposure unit in the first instance. A 500w halogen is good enough to start or even a 400w metal halide work lamp.

You will probably outgrow a 4/4 too quickly. You need 4 screens for CMYK process, 1 more for underbase on dark, and maybe 1 more for spot colour text. Go for a 6/4 or 6/6.

Unless you need finance always check out used equipment locally - but don't buy without viewing. Never by used screens.

Thanks Foot Print, and yes I'm new to doing the actual screen printing myself. I use to use a screen printer but now we need to reduce costs and do more on our own. I'll definitely use yours and Patwibble's advice.
Thanks again

PatWibble, thanks to you too for the advice and it's good to know that I have enough space, I thought I might but I'm known to cut things too close and try and squeeze in too much in one area. I'll def. check out used but where I'm located there is almost nothing close by. But I'll keep looking. Thanks!!
