Most single step self weeding I had tried cracks, fade and flakes off after wash and some would not self weed. Except Rhinotech's single step for lights. It did not self weed as I would like with 2 step self weeding Imageclip Laser light but Rhinotech's transferred image held very well after at least ten washes. It is not recommend for very light, gradient or photo artwork but by converting to RGB halftone I was able to transfer without dropout. Ask Rhinotech if your printer is compatible with their transfer. Buy sample quantity and try it first before commiting a lot of money.

I rather use 2 step self weeding Imageclip Laser light. It is true self weeding, soft, durable, vibrant, easy to marry and cold peel which means that no toner is left behind on the carrier sheet after peeling of the shirt.

We have found that real key to durability success with single step media is as much the garment type as anything. Generally speaking 100% cotton is not the best choice!
Single step media relies on a bond based on the poly component of the toner and this does not hold so well to pure cotton. HOWEVER if you use either a 100% poly or a 50%/50% cotton/poly blend then you have a Poly/Poly bond which is much stronger and MUCH more durable!
