best machine for patches that already have adhesive

I own a school uniform business and we have always screen printed the logos on the polos. I have a new school that wants there logo as a iron on embroidery patch. The patches already have the adhesive on the back. What machine would you recommend adhering the patch to the shirt? I'm thinking that other schools will want to switch in the future so I will need a machine that can handle 1000-2000 shirts/year. Thanks for all input!

I good sewing machine is all you need for that. Screen print the patches and sew them on.
If the patches are small I would use a hat press , then you have another market

If the blanks already have the adhesive on the back, I would look at dye sub or screen print.
If you embroider them, you may need to apply a new layer of adhesive after the sew out.
I don't think they will stick very well as the embroidery will cover some of the adhesive and make it less adhesive in that area.

When you say a machine to handle 1000-2000 shirts a year, are you talking heatpress or embroidery?

Either way, these aren't big numbers, average 5-10 garments a day (5 day week, a 48week year - allow 4 weeks vacation time =240 working days/year),
just about any commercial machine will do the job and most semi commercial as well.
