Those are good presses. You can use one of those kitchen timers and save a couple hundre bucks no problem. You could probably get a Stahls from impritables warehouse or Coastal in the $630-$650 range shipped at no charge with the analog timer.
Best Heat Press to Buy?
I just stumbled upon this forum today and I've gotta say that I'm impressed. I've been thinking about getting a heat press for a while now and wish I would have found this forum months ago.
Anyway, so I was wondering what the difference (besides the obvious) of buying a hand timed heat press vs. an analog timed heat press? I mean obviously there's the timer fumction, but aside from that what would there really be any big difference between THIS hand timed one and THIS analog timed one? The price difference is over $200, so I was just wodnering if the $239 more would really be worth it or if there's even THAT much of a difference between the two.
Also, are those good prices, or further more even good heat presses? I've been looking around for a while and those HIX heat presses seem to be pretty popular and the prices seem to be pretty reasonable as far as all the websites I've looked at to compare prices.

What do you even need the timer for? Just to keep track of how long the transfer is pressed down on the item you're transfering it to?

Dwell times for different type transfers and heatpress materials is very important.
Boo Z is also running a deal for a Stahls at $599 with 100 free transfers and all of their catalogs thrown in. Pro-World has a deal I think around $499 if you purchase $399 worth of transfers...same press.
