Hey everyone,
I thought I would get a few opinions on what some more experienced people think about a great combination of equipment. I've planned on starting my own printing and have saved some money to buy everything I need. So I wanted to ask what may be the best quality heat press, paper, printer, or anything you have an opinion on for longer lasting t-shirts! I know there are a lot of different options out there, but any advice would help!

Thank you in advance.

What are your goals? Do you want to do just transfers?

I have a Hotronix Auto Open Clam, a Graphtec Ce-5000 24", Color Laser and Epson Workforce 40, and a Brother 901 Embroidery machine. I love all the equipment I have it works great. I use Corel for software. It is what I'm used to. I print some tranfers and use Imageclip and Jetpro Sofstretch. More often I order screen print tranfers from a supplier.

We do all this from home and gives a lot of versatility.

Just starting off a little slow, I guess. Printing custom shirts, eventually getting into screen printing when I get the space and more experience. I remember looking at the Hotronix Auto Open Clam. That is one of just a few of my options for the press. I hear a lot about the transfers you mentioned. So I guess I'll research some on the printer and cutter you mentioned!

Most use a Epson 1400 or 1800 as a large format printer at a good price. These can be upgraded with constant supply inks. If you are buying a printer go with one of these. I love the press. I considered cheaper, but it is nice when multitasking.

The plastisol transfers allow for screen print quality without the equipment.
