Hello,

I currently have a wholesale supplier (TSC) who runs around 2.30 to 2.50 for color blank t-shirts. I believe they are Gildan Soft Style. Does anyone have any pros or cons with certain brands, or any different wholesalers that offer better prices. I am planning on ordering at quantities of 400. Thanks!

the gildan soft style 6400 is a decent shirt for the price -- they've got a nice hand when they're brand new, but tend to fade and shrink a lot in the wash though. their color and quality consistency between lots also leaves something to be desired (and i wouldn't expect it to improve any time soon since gildan just acquired anvil for $88 mil & reported a 56% drop in Q2 earnings). for roughly the same price, the hanes nano tee is much better quality and consistently gets rave reviews.

i've had nothing but disappointment and complaints about the quality, fit, and colorfastness of anvil, jerzees & delta shirts, so i wouldn't recommend them.

as for wholesalers & pricing, don't forget to always take into account where the distribution centers and shipping costs. if tsc is local to you, they're going to end up being cheaper out-the-door than another wholesaler that's 1/2 across the country, but $.25 cheaper per piece.
some wholesalers offer free shipping on non-sale item orders over a $150-250 dollars. a couple, like www.americanasportswear.com, even offer free shipping on their sale items if you place the order online which almost always makes them the best deal.
