Was it printing like this for the engineer during the installation?i have attached two pictures showing one print from regular position on shirt and another print at the bottom

I installed everything myself. I did talk to one of the members here on t shirt forums for a long time and just could not figure it out.Was it printing like this for the engineer during the installation?
Oh I see, if you don't mind me asking why did you not have an engineer install the printer. I am not suggesting you have done it wrong, just curious as to why you had to do it yourself.I installed everything myself. For now I am flipping the shirt and image upside down as I can print the image that way. Seems I must wait until Monday to talk to epson tech.
Also, I am pretty sure I did everything correct as installation was extremely simple. It seems there must be a problem with whatever helps move the platen back and forth. I even sometimes receive an error that is not in epsons user manual it seems.
I did not call to schedule the training and installation with who I purchased from and I needed to get work done during the weekend, and having used another dtg machine and reading the forums, I pretty much figured it would have been no problem especially it being very easy to use.Oh I see, if you don't mind me asking why did you not have an engineer install the printer. I had a similar issue and at least for me traced it down to my usb cable. The printer is about 20 feet away from my computer and I was using a 25 foot cable. I guess that is too long a gap for back and forth info. It was not a cheap cable. Ended up using a cat 5 cable and connecting it to the network. I have not had a stutter since.
Depending how much white ink you are puting down, I have seen the material pucker just enough to trigger the sensor. I now thread my dark shirts on the platen so only the print side is on top.. I also have another problem where if I print a black shirt, the printer will not print the second pass. It says Platen Error I believe (not platen height error, it is a different platen error). and the description reads abnormal object may be blocking the path or something like that, and forces me to cancel the print job. I have flipped the shirt and image upside down to prevent this from happening as well
It is not triggering the sensor for platen height though, it is triggering a sensor the the platens path. It is a completely different error and I have not seen anything online about it. Usually platen height allows user to adjust it.Depending how much white ink you are puting down, I have seen the material pucker just enough to trigger the sensor. Thank you so much for providing us all with this info and it will help in the future.Just wanted to update everyone.
Epson tech arrived today and managed to fix the printer in about a couple of minutes!
The belt that controls the bed moving back and forth was a little loose. He tightened it and now images are 100% crisp, and no platen error while printing black shirts.
Hope this will help all the other epson users on the forum if they for some weird reason experience what I have with blurry images and error while printing two passes!
