Hi everyone, I’ve been running a small clothing brand since 2011 and been getting tshirts printed at a screen printers but now I’d like to be able to produce smaller amounts of tshirts.

I’ve wanted to set up a small tshirt printing set up out of my home for a while now.

The main idea is to be able to do vinyl transfers onto tshirts, I’ve been trying to keep a rough budget of around £1000.

The products that I’ve come across are as follows:

Stahls Clam Basic 28 x 38cm
Graphtec Silhouette Cameo 12”
Cad Cut SportsFilm Extra


Eventually I’d like to be able to print full colour transfers with an A4 printer - however this can wait as it’s not a necessity at the moment.

If anyone can give me an insight as to whether this set up seems okay for a small set up that’d be great.

Additionally i’ll need to sort out a tshirt supplier, I normally use Gildan Ultra tshirts, does anyone know of any reasonable suppliers within the UK?

Set up is fine, although maybe have a look at MDP for hot flex vinyl, you might find it being cheaper? (also, I personally prefer hot peel vinyl).

Plenty of suppliers for Gildan tees, Elms and Elms, Ralawise, Btc etc. There should be a sticky thread in this forum in regards to suppliers.

15" or 19/20" heat transfer material is more common. You may need a 15" or a 24" cutter.
