hey what's up...got a beginner's question here. I'm a graphic designer, familiar with photoshop and illustrator. I've done some basic t-shirt designs, from 1-4 colors in illustrator and had them printed with great results. however, now I've been tasked with putting a photograph on a t-shirt for screen printing and I'm unsure how to proceed. do I need to do halftones, separations...? I'm in the dark here. Any advice, links to tutorials or videos would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks! Here's a link to the photo.

for photographic prints you would want to go with either 4 color process, simulated process or index color separations.

the image you linked is very low quality and full of jpg artifacts, you would ideally want a clean image at 300ppi at actual print size (200ppi is often acceptable for a clean looking print).

Thanks! I know the image is too low quality to use, so I'll work on finding a better version.

So, 4-color process, separations...what's the next step? I'm completely in the dark here. What are the differences?

Really appreciate the help by the way...I really need to get my t-shirt knowledge up to par!
