Now i want to start screen printing. I must start small. Any advice on a good screen press, ink, screens etc; etc.........

Ryonet has an interesting starter kit.......comes with emulsion kit, single color press, white and black ink, squeegee.........

Side question, maybe stupid, i'm new to screen printing, so anyway......Can you use a heat press instead of an iron to "cure" the ink?

Thanks All.

The new starter kit from ryonet looks really nice for starting out to get your feet wet. I bought the same kit before they came out with the new press.

The kit comes with water based ink, and the duel cure emulsion is great. The 500w light should get set at 18 inches above your screen when burning your screen for 13 minutes (that's what worked for me atleast)

Okay with this info, your opinion, what would the next step above the ryonet starter kit discussed?
Well I guess it depends on how big you want to go. You could always go for one if their other table top units, or you could just go straight into one of their shop packages. I went with the premier preferred shop package with a few nice upgrades.

With some of the larger starter kits (not shop packages) you can get a
Nice table top set up. I hear their silver press is really nice

It sounds like you are well established with your current business so maybe adding a large press is the route for you to go.

I will tell you one other thing though. I did not get the Riley Hopkins press. I went to the ISS show in ac and I got toess around with the Hopkins and it just felt weird to me. I'm a big guy and I'm guessing it had something to do with that. But I know there are a lot of peoria that love the riley Hopkins press and people who have been using them for over 15 years
