I have tried to find all the information I could online, which wasn't much. I have the opportunity to get a ZSK demo Sprint 6 or a new Barudan Pro II for the same price. I was told the Barudan is an arm style machine. Will the be an issue for me if I mostly do shirts, hats, totes and ITH projects? Does an arm machine need babysat the entire time it embroiders?

In either case you are getting a good machine for the money it just matters what your plans are with them.

Arm machines usually have much smaller height sewing field, but are more compact and can fit into smaller spaces.

Bridge style (ZSK) generally are bigger and give you more versatility than arm style. They also are generally easier on the internal parts wear and tear due to the simpler rotational/to linear transfer mechanisms...

Arm style have lots of 90 degree bends that if run hard without absolutely dedication to greasing and oiling it on time... can wear out faster or jam.

With the proII I believe that its belt for x/y but I am not 100% sure. With most single head arm styles you end up getting a cable/wire rope transfer that tends to stretch and snap over time.

ZSK is easier to set up dumb networking/shortcut options that improve productivity... Barudan is slightly more proprietary

Thank you, I plan on mostly doing hats shirts and smaller bags. I currently own a combo sewing/embroidery machine so either will be a huge upgrade. I ordered the ProII and then the ZSK sales rep called me and made me second guess my decision because the machine I ordered was an arm style. I honestly didn't even know there were arm and bridge machines. I just don't want to regret my purchase, this will be our start up machine and hopefully will grow into a 4 or 6 head machine in the future.
