I work with the Kornit avalanche 1000. Our issues started a month or so back. Our X1 pallet would randomly lock up and not throw any errors just lock up. After a few weeks and on and off talks with Kornit techs we figure out the control box needed replacement. replaced it and it worked for a while. Starting last week our X1 pallet started throwing overload errors, but its not a complete error because our machine will finish printing the layer its on then it will lock up. its saying its an "overload warning" error number 171540014. It happens both during white and CMKY, has anyone else had these types of issues. and if so do you have any tips that may point us the right direction to getting this fixed?

From the sound of what is going on, it could be 1 of 2 things.
There is either some rust on the rails, causing the linear motor to "feel" additional, un-needed force.
Try cleaning the rust off, and lightly re-greasing the rails
It could also be excess amounts of grease on the rails of either the X or Y axis.
Just try to wipe off any excess grease, and either reapply, or, if there is just a nice thin layer, try
running again.
The last thing I would check, is your forward and backward limits on both of your X and Y axis. The axis that is causing the overloads, could be reaching its limit before it actually should, which can cause the overload.

thanks for the suggestions, we had someone come out here and looed at everything. couldn't figure it out but what we did figure out was it was always faulting out on the acceleration portion of movement so we lowered the initial accel speed and have had no problems since.
