Hey all,
I just searched through the threads for info on augusta, found much.. but not really what I am looking for.
Basically, I have 3 softball uni orders to fill and running out of time. 2 of my customers wnat them on this exact style/brand shirt: Style 360 - SLEEVE STRIPE JERSEY | Augusta Sportswear, Inc.

Problem is, registering with them has not been nearly as easy as other places (Stalh's etc) in the past.
Long story short, I have to get a few forms out to them, which will take a few days to process and go through all the motions of that..
I have found this same brand/style from a distributor of augusta products for around 10.00$/shirt. This seemed a bit high to me since similar styles(even a bit heavier) are going for much less than 10$.
So what I am looking for is someone who already has an account with Augusta, not necessarily to tell the prices, but to at least let me know if it is worth me waiting and pushing these orders to the last minute (if they can be had at augusta when I get the rest of info in for significantly less than 10)

Thanks all

Brian

Brian, registering and getting approved with Augusta is actually one of the easier ones that I've come across. It only requires two forms ... their blanket exemption form (which takes only a few minutes to fill out) and a copy of your State Sales Tax License.

They set us up the same day that we submitted the paperwork. I'm sure they'd do the same for you, if you send in the paperwork and follow up with a call (explaining that you have jobs pending).

As far as the wholesale price is concerned ... looks like this item (style #360) is about 30% less than what your distributor is trying to sell them to you for. In other words, you'll be sacrificing some of your profit if you buy through a distributor ... instead of buying direct.

Good luck.

John

Thank you much for your insight.

To answer the above question, I am not a retailer.. I do have a COA in NYS, as well as the accompanied Tax ID for NYS.

I am not sure what the issue with Augusta is, but I will get on the phone and try to figure it out.
I actually have an account with TSC apparel and found them there for the similar price you spoke of John- 30% less than the 10$/ I quoted earlier.
I think I will just order from then this run and work things out with augusta for future endeavors.
Again Thanks a bunch John, you kept me looking to find what I needed.
