Hi guys,

I have managed to get a lovely price on a barely used 2nd hand deep impact swing away press (Adkins)

The thing is now I want to do some T shirts and it hasn't been coming out right, I have tested the temp is all ok. I now know the pressure is not enough for this having been reading up on here. I have used an old picture frame (backing) to raise the gap by 5mm and my heat transfer was perfect.

What would be the best way to close the gap, some sort of extra mat etc ? Someone told me that underneath the press you want to put a small plate where the screws are to close the gap. not too sure on what's the best approach to be fair..

Any ideas?

Cheers

This is a deep impact press and I needed more pressure than the max on the dial (i.e. for t-shirts)

After contacting Adkins, I found out that I needed a 25mm spacer to bring it up to the same pressure as the maxi presses. This is installed underneath the press.

Cheers
