I am at my wits end. Every time I try to press a t-shirt that contains black, it comes out green. I am using an epson s21 and creating design using photoshop. I am using xpres garments.

I have now tried 3 different sublimation papers (truepix being the latest), I have adjusted pressure from maximum to minimum, and have tried various temperatures between 180c and 240c.

No matter what I do it still presses out as green! I have even printed some text using microsoft word to eliminate any problems with photoshop, and you guessed it - still green!

What options are there left? -except suicide

Forgot to say I have been in touch with the seller and he sent some further ink out for me to try. He says he tested this ink himself and it came out black, as did a customer of his who also checked it!

Any good links to other places to buy a small amount of black ink to compare would be appreciated!

If they said it was "Sawgrass" and then when you talked to them, they sent out "another ink", I'd be questioning their ink. I had a printer with aftermarket ink, I bought it that way, and it had a lot of the same issues you are talking about.

If it's Sawgrass Ink, then you can get the ICC profiles for it and you should be good to go. If it was Sawgrass Ink, you'd know it because it would have come in packaging that said it was from.

What does your ink say on the bottles?

Hi,

I have spoken to the supplier and it appears that I am not the only one who has had this problem. It appears to be a problem with the ink from a certain batch! New ink from new supplier on way!!!

There are so many red flags from the eBay store alone to make one run before they get their money plucked from their pockets. First talks about Sawgrass ink then as you go down the ink is 'OCP' from germany, then they list the ocp web site address but it is not complete.

Buyer Beware - For those new to sublimation: The thought that you can simply by a printer, ink, paper and a press and start printing is simply a fantasy. To create professional results you do need a ICC profile along with correct settings for the software you print from. If you do not have the software settings correct you will not have great results. Buy from a reputable vendor that supports this forum and you will literally save countless hours of frustration and $100's of dollars.

So true. This is one hobby or business you just don't want get by with on the cheap. If you don't feel comfortable spending the money on good equipment and top of the line supplies, put your money elsewhere. You'll be farther ahead in the long run.

Hi I am just wondering why my design comes out blurry on the transfer-It is 11.5 x 11.0-should I use smaller design-or is it a resolution of the printer-two other jobs also came out with the color varied from the artwork-Coach
It sounds to me like your taking a small low res picture and trying to print it too large. When you do that you lose sharpness and it will begin to pixelate. I don't believe your printer has anything to do with it.
