It depends, some you can, some you can't, or need permission. The most complete information I have found is on the Air Force web site. The new Air Force Insignia is officially a trademark, and permission is required to use it. It will take some digging, but you can usually find out what you are looking for in the FAQ's on the military sites.

I have a ton of these transfers,, special corps, marines army airforce, ect,,,
I purchased them from transfer companies that hold the licensure for them, check around they are all over. or PM me
Thanks a bunch for this info. it actually answers most of my questions at least for air force, and I am assuming this would also pertain to ARMY, MARINES, NAVY. I am pretty sure I should not need a trademark agreement for something that says USA I hope. And I also would think FBI, POLICE, CIA, FIRE DEPT. etc... would not need trade agreement.
If you could help one step further it mentions royalties however I do not see any mention of the royalty fees. Do you have a rough idea on their take? This would give me an idea if it is feasible or not. Or where I can find that extra bit of info.
Thanks Bill
In general I would not worry about it if you are doing one-of's or limited production. Everything we do is for the wholesale market, so it becomes very important.
As for royalty fees, have no idea, would guess it is product priced based along with some usage guidelines.
