Hello Everyone
I bought some oracal 631 and I would like to know, what is the correct way to apply the vinyl?
Other than the wall what can you use oracal 631 on?
What is Oracal 751 used on?

Thanks

Its generally a sign vinyl, so you can use it on signs, glass, banners, car windows. Basically any type of hard surface.

751 is used for permanent signage. 631 will not hold up outdoors, it is perfect for temporary signage, but I wouldn't use it on anything outdoors permanent.

As for applying it, simply cut, weed, tape it and then remove the backing place it onto the substrate and squeegee it onto the substrate real good, then remove the transfer tape.

Hey, Marc!

Oracal 631 is used for temporary applications. Such as signs for trade shows, POP displays, yard signs (if temporary only, nothing long term). The life of this vinyl is around 3yrs.

The higher you go up in number (641, 651. . .) the better the quality and longevity of the vinyl. I make signs and use 651 mostly. I use 631 for peewee football helmets, where they are seen only for a season and removed afterwards. They buy from me each year, so I know they'll last through football season.

Best to apply to flat, clean, non-porous surfaces.

Hope this helps!:)

Woops my mistake on the type of vinyl I was referring, I was thinking you asked about 651 for some reason. They are totally right about the higher the number the longer lasting the vinly.
