Can't become a dealer for Alleson Athletic because there is another dealer in my area. I need two shirts to replace a player that quit a baseball team. They initially got them from a large company that isn't interested in doing two shirts. The style is 506TH, not sure if they'll need adult or youth yet, just will need black/white and dk. green/white.

Anyone interested in having these drop shipped to me? If so, let me know price and how you would like to go about doing this.

Thanks,

Tina

I am in this same boat. I have a ball park that spent around $25K with me during baseball season and for allstars wants Alleson pants and jerseys - approx 5 or 6 teams worth of uniforms. FINALLY got in touch with my sales rep who says "We already have adequate distribution in your area". When I asked what my area was because there is not another dealer that does uniforms in within 25 miles of me in all directions, he would not say. I don't want to lose this account because I can't get them Alleson uniforms they want! Mostly, they are just wanting the open bottom pants white with purple piping and Alleson carries them stock. Anyone else know of a different way to become an Alleson dealer or where else I can get white pants/purple piping?

Contact Patty at Sportz Direct 573-853-4200. She will order Alleson for you, will charge a little more than straight wholesale but will allow you to fill the order and prevent you from losing the account. I have been unable to get a Richardson Cap account and they order those for me as well.

It is really hard for me to believe with the way the economy is that companies are turning away business. I understand not selling to the general public but I am in the business of uniform decoration. Geesh!

Many brands are "fiercely" protective of their dealers....They would rather have a smaller number of volume dealers than a bunch that do very little....In fact, sometimes when they see brokering like you are describing about, they pull the dealerships....

It is hard to understand in this situation. We live in a small rural area and both places that are "close" (within 25-30 miles) are about the same size we are. One is a little bigger and one is a little smaller and both have a reputation for failing to meet the customers requirements and being difficult to deal with. Both also have a reputation for not doing late add ons so if the customer does the first order and then later on needs just a few more, neither place will do it. Period. It is how I have gotten several of the customers that I have gotten because we have always been willing to do the late adds - albeit at possibly a slightly higher price if necessary. I think Alleson is missing the boat on this. I spoke to all 5 teams yesterday and they would rather stay with me than stay with the brand Alleson. Of course, they would prefer Alleson but if Alleson won't play ball, then we will do something different. :) Thanks for the name and number. I will contact her this AM and see if she can help.
