Has anyone on here purchased a GraffiTee? Do you have the machine in your possession or are you waiting on it to come in?

When someone does have one in their possession can they post photos and review the machine? It would be very informative if someone could compare it to their existing 541 or 782.

I have a 361 on order. I was told by a Brother rep that they have received the first 50 units and they are all 381's. I still don't have a solid date but I should have mine installed by the end of the month... hopefully.

I'm a DTG noob so I won't be able to compare but I'll try to post my initial experience once I have it. I'm also getting the new Viper One pretreat machine.

I'm sure I'll be more active on this forum once I get this thing. I'm beyond anxious at this point...

Good luck venturing into the world of DTG printing! Just out of curiosity why did you decide to go with the viper one over the viper xpt-6000? I have been running a GT782 for about two years and a viper xpt for about one year and love them both.

Funny you ask about the Viper One. Brother called me today and they are now recommending the Lawson Zoom. It is similar in size to the Viper One. There is not much info out on it yet. Their techs have been testing the Zoom for a few weeks now and are very impressed with it. My rep is supposed to be getting me some more info.

I went with the Viper One because of size, portability, and of course $$$$. Have you seen the video of it on Direct2Shirt? It looks pretty fast and simple. If my DTG sales take off I'll more than likely upgrade to the XPT and keep the One as a back up or mobile unit.

Just out of curiosity, are you using a conveyor or heat press to cure? It appears everyone has their own preference as to what is best.

I am using a black body digi cure conveyor dryer. It is nice to just toss it on the belt and forget about it. The dryer does the rest of the work for you. As far as press curing goes it changes the hand of the ink on the shirt. I prefer the feel of the hand when the shirt is cured in a conveyor dryer. Also it ties up your press or you will need a second press. I was also under the impression that Brother recommends a conveyor dryer.

As far as lawson goes we had a lawson express before the viper. I would caution you with the lawson if they are still using the aluminum pressurized pods. After a while those things were a pain to deal with. They would leak and were very easy to cross thread. They may have changed them since, but that was my experience with them.

It does indeed. They both require air. I don't think the Viper One uses a pressure pot. From what I understand the Lawson is a tad bit more accomodating for hoodies. I've been waiting on a call from a Brother tech to try to get more info.

Still don't have a delivery date.

according to j&b they should be in the UK around June, I am getting one as soon as they arrive BUT im a bit nervous of having a rev 1.0 machine, the anajet mp5 problem reports on these forums have given me the fear, so im kind of hoping they land in the US first by a month or two so we can get some feedback before parting with my hard earned.

Got news that my GT361 shipped today! Thank you Todd and Brian! I'll have to wait a week or so for the installer/trainer to come out.

I also ended up going with the Lawson vertical pretreater. I would have had to wait too long for the Zoom. I was able to see it working at the NMB show. It's not as fancy as the big Viper but it is electric, no pressure pots, and takes up less room.

I also met Mark Bagley at the show. Great guy! His cap platen is impressive. I will be ordering it soon.

I will keep the forum updated on my progress. :)

We got our GT-361 install finished up Friday! I'll post some pics and more thoughts soon. I've only done a few prints. So far so good. I'm definately glad I got a pretreat machine.

In case anyone was wondering... The daily maintenance for white ink uses 6 cc per head. @ .56cc it comes out to $6.72 on the GT-361. Double that on a GT-381. I'm glad I chose the GT-361. When demand warrants it, I'll upgrade...

A few noted differences/improvements over the 782;
The encoder strip is enclosed.
Single carriage for white and cymk.
Exhaust fan to evacuate any mist. I guess that was an issue on the 782.
For white ink daily maintenance, you do not evacuate the lines (only on weekly), you only agitate the carts and then it proceeds to spit out $6.72 in white ink.

The print driver is very simple. However, it is minorly annoying because there is no way to default it to GT-361. It always defaults to GT-381.
One of my test prints took 7 minutes for the driver to process @ 1200 dpi. At 600 dpi it took around 30 seconds. I'm sure that will vary according to your pc specs. I'm running Win 7 booted in an iMac (Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66 GHz) with 4GB memory.

Again, this is my first venture into DTG. I have a lot to learn. I will share as I go...

I received my GT381 about a month ago. It works great. Have done several jobs that look great. I would post pictures but we are slammed busy right now. I have a friend with a 782 and the 381's quality is just as good. The speed is pretty good also because it prints the white and the color at the same time. The 782 has to make two passes to print both color and white. So the speed is comparable.
