Hey Anyone Use the ANAJET FP-125?

Basically I was looking into this DTG Printer and it seems amazing, price is a little steep, so I want to make sure its really worth the buck...

Any information on the system and your experience with it would be wonderful!

Thanks!:)

It has served me well so far. I like my Anajet and I have worked out how to make it profitable. Our business model was built around DTG and once we got through the learning curve, it has indeed turned a profit.

The ink cost is probably the biggest downside of owning an Anajet but the printer itself was a good investment.

The sales person I worked with was also a great person to deal with and that helped make my buying decision much easier.
In order to make it worth your while...
I got a couple questions so please bear with me...

What kind of shirts do you specialize in?
(I am leaning my business more towards darker shirts...do you think this is a good investment for darks as well?)

How much do you sell the shirts for?

How much does the ink cost for Anajet?

Is there an alternative to Anajet Ink?

Was the "learning curve" difficult? or did you just fly right through no probs...?

By the way thanks alot for the info. your definately helping me out alot!:)

We do light and dark shirts, more shirts require white ink than do not for our market.

Sorry, I don't share my pricing information. I will say asking from $7.00 - $20.00 has been listed on the forums by different posters. There are ways to make money at all of the price points, it just depends on your particular business model.

Anajet ink is $64.00 per 110 ml for CMKY, $74.00 per 110 ml for white. You will also need to purchase pretreatment solution if using white ink.

Is there an alternative to Anajet Ink?
There are several other inks on the market that should work with the Epson R1800 print head in the Anajet FP125. That being said, Anajet will remind you that the user manual expressly states you should not use anything other than Anajet ink to keep your warranty intact.

If you decide to use alternative inks, you can get refillable carts at dtginks.com .

You can buy compatible ink from equipmentzone.com and dtginks.com.

CMKY was easy. White ink was not so easy. We keep our machine pretty much spotless and running regularly and I still recently had a line freeze after a 2 day gap in white prints. We unclogged the line and got printing within a couple of hours but it was annoying if nothing else.

By the way thanks alot for the info. your definately helping me out alot!:)
Glad to help :)

Hi Sabrina
Welcome to the forums
Glad you joined

It is me Teresa (pap, from tonight)
Hope to see you around often:)
This is an amazing printer. I would recomend it to anyone. I have used a T-jet and hated the washability. I went to my local Anajet dealer and they gave me a few test print shirts and tested the washability thats why I ended up buying one.

They use the same set of inks so the printer had nothing to do with it. IT was more likely due to the operator and how they cured the t-shirts.
I have the Anajet. Have had a good deal of training and figureing things out for myself through trial and error but generally on a print machine i have never know so many different problems to encounter, this machine is def. very good on its day on light or dark garments. But it will make your blood pressure rise that is guarnteed. Regardless of what anybody else says im sure weve all had problems at some points in the printers life some the same and others different. Some easy to fix other times it can burn a hole in your pocket.
How much do these new AnaJets FP-125 cost guys/girls? I'm just starting to look into them. Thank you in advance.
The FP-125 is no longer in production, we still all the parts for them though. The Sprint is the updated version of the FP-125. They retail for around $20,000.00 . Howerever i beleive there are some specials going on. if you would like more info please send me a private message. Thanks!

awesome. I appreciate it. I have now have a basic idea of the cost. I'm in the process of capitalizing the business right now and learning the different production processes. I figured I would have to get a screen printer, as the next step from my current hook-up of an Epson 1400 & one of those little geoknight jetpress12s. The more I read about the DTG printers, the more it looks like that might be the leap to make, and not the screen printers.

I just started studying those things though.. I just wanted a general idea of the cost of a solid machine.

Thank you!

Sabrina, I am glad to hear it's all working out.
We live in Pensacola, Fl and had to close our business. We had only used our AnaJet and Pretreatment station for three months when we had to close our shop. Due to the tubes clogging when it was in storage we sent it back to CA and had new tubes and printhead installed. Due to finances we have not been able to reopen our shop the machine has been in storage. We have all the original software & documents. We would be willing to sell all of it for $10,000 or best offer.
I am looking to buy a used printer and I have a option to buy either Anajet FP-125A with upgraded sprint head or DTG Kiosk T-Jet, any advice would be appreciated.
Buying used DTG Printers is risky.
I have had a lot of luck with the FP125. Its old technology, but properly maintained its actually a pretty good little printer.

In the near future parts may get very hard to find.

I wouldn't buy anything I didn't have a chance to try first. I would want to see it print at least a dozen white and then black shirts. I would bring my own graphics to see how they compared with other things I had printed.
Thanks for quick response, the one I am going to see is FP125A with sprint head which was replaced 3 months ago, I will make sure to print some shirts before making any decision.
