I've had good luck with it, especially when I have to duplicate a file from a non-digital format, such as a t-shirt.
As a professional Graphic Artist, I would look for a font that is as close as possible and work with that if I can't find the precise font. If you're doing this for a customer, be upfront about not having the font and show them your version. It almost always meets with approval.
Thanks for the help everyone. I was still unable to locate it. I was upfront with the customer already so that it would not bite me in the butt if I could not find it. I will keep looking and find it someday!!!!!!!
I traced several of the letters and broke them apart into single letters and whatdafont does not recognize it all. this is an elusive one thats for sure.
