i want to do some tshirts but mostly for fun right now and in the future if i like it upgrading. i saw this heat press on craigslist for about 175 and wanted to know what you guys thought about it. Also when buying a used heat press what should i be checking for to make sure im not getting a bad deal.

Take an instant read thermometer to check for cool spots. I'm not very familiar with Insta but they've been around awhile and have a good rep.

Does it matter what temperature i check or as long as its even across the pad?

Well ideally the temp matches the setting on the press but most important is that it is even.
