Some years ago minolta merged with Konica. There were several models sold under the minolta name. I have not seen any of their products in recent times before purchasing I would made sure toner and some support was available. I had a model 2400. It was a good printer but that was at least 7 years ago.

I have a chance to buy a printer but never heard of it before. It's a Minolta QMS Color Pageworks. I'm not sure of model number. any info on these printers would be appreciated. Thanks
Adding to Charles point, if you are going to use for heat transfers I would suggest you look into OKIs. That printer you mention has a curved paper path and don't handle transfers as well as OKI's which have a straight paper path feature.
