Anyone have a way to Tile Halftoned images perfectly?

Ok, I can tile images, yeah. But when I need a huge halftones image, I always run into trouble.

I need the sheets to be perfectly printed to the edge, and to butt them up to one another. This way, i dont have a seam, and the halftones will expose where there are two layers of film {Which is what happened when I did it before. Where there were two layers, because of that tiny space where the film wasnt in contact, I would get a screwed up halftone strip. boo urns}

Any one have any tips?

Besides buying a Epson 7600 hahahah

Oh I use an Epson 3000, and I thought it printed right up to the edge.....
I setup all of my film sizes to have no margin, in the manage custom sizes section......But it still seems to have one........

Thanks!
Don't think it can be done with halftones.... could be wrong, but...... that's a pretty hard task.

Back in the day when, computers first started to be used to make artwork for screen printing, I worked with 8.5" x 14" laser printer. We had to tile and tape almost all of our vellum. The trick is to use a large halftone dot, like 25 to 30. With a light table, overlap your film and tape with clear tape outside the image. You have to find the exact same dots on both films. You must be VERY careful and cut between the dots with a very sharp Exacto Knife. This works OK for one color, but I don't think you could get it to work with process color prints.

yeah i guess that would work, but i hate using dots that big on a huge image,

No one can help with the printing of the 3000, in a borderless fashion?

I swear I read somewhere it says borderless.....If that was the case, i could precisely set the artwork to print at the perfect spot to butt the edges.......
