corel just doesnt to to good a job, or maybe i just dont know how to trace it correctly. i already did it the old fashion way, buy hand. its distorted enough to were i can get away with it. speaking of that, anybody happen to have this fella in there clipart library, im getting ready to do the same for him:rolleyes:

what i really need to do is learn how to use the pen tool so i dont have to keep doing this by hand, or sending it out to a bitmap to vector service

Maybe this will help you understand. How to use Photoshop's Pen Tool
In photoshop the pen is less complex so maybe it's a good point to start! After you understand the basic, only practice will make you a master with the pen tool! And when i say pratice i mean a lot of it!

Edit: To convert a bezier point, you don't have to change the tool all the time just use ALT it will save you so much time! Works in photoshop and illustrator, i don't know about corel...never use it before!

thank you for trying, but i just remembered an old post. heres what i did

i traced it by hand on my lightbox to get a good clean source to trace
next i converted to black and white bitmap
then i traced as a high quality image.
and that gave me a descent image.
