Any way to use Pigment ink for cup/mug transfers?

We probably should have thought about this sooner than now!! ... but is there any way to use pigment ink for cup/mug transfers?

We're getting a mug and hat press soon - already ordered an epson 1430 with pigment ink ... but I am getting the feeling that I should have done more research before ordering :)

I've seen a few posts about this, but several were dated 2011 or older.

Are we out of luck with trying to use the 1430 pigment ink for mugs?

If we can't use the 1430, is there a cheap alternative?

Thanks!

Typically these are done via dyesub.

You would most likely want to invest in a dyesub setup to do what you want.

Yeah .. that's what I am finding doing more research. BUT I do think I have a work-around - not ideal ... instead of a "full color" transfer, I think we are going to stick with HTV and just text/simple designs.

Still searching ...
