I know that there can be issues with having white text/image on navy/black garments with certain printing methods.

My customer wants white vinyl design onto navy or black FOTL cotton tshirts.

Are there anything that I should be aware of with this method?

I have had no issues with many dark garments and white (or any other color) vinyl on them

It depends on the shirt and the vinyl. I have had dye migration problems with Eco-Film and Anvil organic shirts.

Dye Migration is where the vinyl doesn't react well with the dyes in the shirt and it doesn't quite sit right ontop of the shirt. The color seeps thru the vinyl.

What brand of shirt and vinyl are looking at using?

When I first started out I received samples of many white materials....I noticed that some were thinner and less opaque than others....So there was some show through on some brands......At this point I can not remember the ones that did not work but ended up using Siser Easy Weed and Spectra Ecofilm because they worked best in my mind.....

and also using Fruit of the Loom heavyweight cotton tshirts in both navy and black.
