I picked up a melco emc6/4 very cheap. I did the diy convert to be able to use it with usb instead of a pc(boot disks load up fine) but it ran once, then next time I turned it on it said off color index and not at head up position,I've tried manually moving the needles with a screwdriver but the red led stays red. Also when I manually position the head at head up position according to the dial on right side the needle is in a down position, I'm pretty good with tools(lifelong professional mechanic) is there anything I can do myself to fix this issue before calling a tech for a house call?
