I have been using the anvil 980 heather shirts for some time and have noticed that recently the stock levels are low and never get that high. Then very recently they are out of stock in a lot of the common sizes. I have started to create more accounts with different wholesalers and it is the same with every place.

Does anyone know what the issue is and if it is going to get resolved? I talked to some of the wholesalers and they just tell me that Anvil has not been sending them enough shirts.

I just got a larger order that I cannot fulfill becaise I cannot buy enough of these shirts.

It's not just Anvil. We have the same issue with American Apparel heathers. My guess is popularity. Hopefully they'll all be back in stock soon.

I work for a national t-shirt distributor and we have the 980s in stock. Unfortunately, I can't say which company because it is against forum guidelines. We are one of the top 3 largest distributors.

Been waiting since early Dec for Anvil's2184 , was told late Dec not expect until late March for whatever that's good for, so far they're on track, haven't seen any sooner either...

We feel waiting on b/o's with a maybe available date months in the future is a futile exercise. We always have alternatives.
The distributors do the best they can, but guessing the popularity, ordering, and waiting for a slow boat from china is difficult at best.

Our machines need to run, our customers are impatient, and our volume says keep alternatives at hand constantly.

I talked to a rep at our distributor because we also have been feeling the low stock issue, and they just said the mill isn't producing enough stock to keep their numbers high enough. It's pretty annoying because everyone wants it and the numbers are virtually non-existent.

Try the 780 model Anvil. Its a ringspun shirt just like the 980 only its 1 ounce heavier.
