I'm always partial to Anvil. I literally still have some anvil tees from almost 10 years back and I can still wear them to this day.

Something to to keep in mind is that it's really subjective as to what shirt anyone will like. I think it's a great idea to ask the forum and you could get some decent feedback, but just know everyone always seems to be split on this question.

One thing I can tell you is that American Apparel seems to be one of the more chosen choices amongst many of the brands I review on my site. This isn't saying it's the "right" shirt for your brand, but it definitely appears to be a top choice for many brands. I'm not sure if this is because it's user driven or dictated by the brands just because of the AA name, maybe both.

Hope that helps,

Just wanted to add that for what it's worth the Anvil 980 in my opinion is a close match to the the AA style and appears to be a bit heavier at least on the white tees. Which I prefer, some of the AA seem to be a bit thin.

We've got a lot of feedback from our customers on the fashion fit styles and I thought you might want to here some of the feedback we've received.

The Anvil 980 is a nice tee but we've had complaints about the collar stretching and tearing. This has been reported by more than one customer.

We recently have been selling people on the Alstyle Fashion Tee, style #5301. So far we've had positive feedback on this style and the price is very good.

The American Apparel style has always received positive feedback as well but the price is always a factor and this is why a lot of people want other options.

TSC Apparel has a Tultex Style and we've had no complaints on this shirt but personally I don't think it prints as well as the other styles. I'm not sure what it is, could be the weave of the shirt... just my 2 cents.

It depends on your customer, everybody likes different styles. I would sample a few different styles and see what people like the best.

Thanks for your feedback everyone has posted some relevent points and I appreciate the time you took to respond.

Since I joined the forums about a week or two ago I have learned a lot of pertinent information about this business. Threw site I have started several accounts with well known wholesalers and networked with legitimate business owners. I just wanted to take the time to thank Rodney for creating a avenue for the up and coming to gain direct access to well established.

Back to the thread have anyone has experience with the hanes 4980

Yes, the Hanes 4980 is an EXCELLENT alternative to AA. Almost the exact same fit, but not quite as long. Same soft ringspun cotton feel, but much cheaper.. Note: the color selection is not as varied, and the Hanes are tougher to find. (for cheap)
Hey chobay how is the fit to collar is it narrower for a better neck fit I love my shirts to a be little more fitted at the neck then the average ringspun tee

Also how does your customers like that any negative feedback

The collar is not as tight as an AA, but tighter than a Gildan Softstyle. I haven't gotten any feedback, just started using them. I'm just letting you know my observations..
