For me it depends on what my customers want. For wearing I personally like a lighter shirt so a 6 oz would be a bit heavy for me but I prefer 100 cotton vs 50/50 but that's just my preference. Most of my typical customers that are not picky use my house shirt for printing which is the Gildan G200 which is 6.1oz. The picky customers I just source whatever tee they asks for and keep it moving.

As for the weight of the shirt, the heavier the weight, the thicker and heavier the shirt will be. I really can't think of any other way to explain it. Maybe someone else will chime in with an answer.

As for washability, even though many are pre-shrunk, I still find that the 100% cotton will still have a small amount of shrinkage. As for which one will last the longest, I feel can't really be determined as it would greatly depend on how the customer cares for the garment, but under normal wear and tear I think they would both last about the same.JMO
