I have some wood screens that are starting to warp are aluminum screens the way to go..

Yes! I also started out with wood screens and all of the water that comes in contact with the wood begins to make it warp. When I used them, I would get brown spots all over the wood because of all of the water and chemicals. Definitely go with aluminum screens. (They are much lighter also!)
