You have to try it yourself and see what works. I also use some of the more expensive contact cement with relative success. Some people say they're no good but I personally know that some screen printing companies prefer these adhesive in their door-sized aluminum frames instead of the regular screen adhesives which they used on regular sized aluminum frames.

Not sure what kind of glue he's using, but wow--talk about taking your time... Perhaps he's priming the frame and using one of those contact cements...

Honestly, if you're not doing a load of frames, you'll want to find someone you could buy some from--the bottles I get are 16 ounces and do about a hundred 20x24 frames. The bad part is, they have a shelf life--they get thicker and thicker as they sit, and soon are no longer suitable for finer meshes. If you use them only occasionally for a number of years, eventually they will barely run out of the container.

There's a pretty hefty learning curve to doing the whole stretch and glue thing properly, plan on screwing more than a couple up before you get some decent ones. And ventilation, and safety gear are highly recommended--FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS.

What is the packing size of the super glue and how much does it cost? And the joiners mitre adhesive? Do you have a picture as the super glue I know comes in small expensive tubes?
This is the stuff I use: No Nonsense Mitre Adhesive Trade Pack | Screwfix.com

Normally I'll pick up a couple of bottles of regular superglue as well as it's better to use the thinner stuff on finer mesh. I used to work for the company that sells it. I miss my %20 staff discount. :( Don't miss the job though. :p
