Hello all
wondering if you guys can give me some advise. we run a tattoo shop in ny and want to start doing our shirts in house as they are mostly promotional for us and we lose pretty much on every shirt. this wont be an every day affair for us just using the cutter and heat press as we need to replenish or want to try a new design. It will be mostly heat transfer vinyl on the shirts. We do use mac and ai to make our designs. I want to keep costs down as much as possible and do know that you get what you pay for. that being said what would you guys recommend for press and cutter under 1500.

For 1500 you could get a very nice cutter. If all you are doing is T-Shirt vinyl, a 24" cutter is all you need. You can start with a 24" stepper motor cutter for around $600. I have a client down the road from us that has a Tattoo shop as well. He gives away vinyl decals to his customers that visit him. The vinyl is inexpensive and making the decals is very cheap. Consider doing this as well.

thanks for the reply you wouldn't happen to have a recommendation for a cutter in the 699 price range would you. The sticker giveaway is a good idea and will be doing that.

I would go with the Saga 24" stepper cutter. No driver, easy setup, easy to use, trade-upable to servos later, etc.
