Don't create a trap just do butt registration or run an under base then black and a highlight white. If I understand you correctly It is hard to cover black with white can be done but tales a big build of ink

A picture or an example would help

I would do a .5 pt outline on the white, print the black film, take the outline off and print the white file. You'll have to tape off or block out all that outline all over, but it does give you a little trap.

I would knock out the black, print the white first, flash then the black. butt registration if you press holds good registration. Unless it just a few shirts cause registering will take some time. Then I would add a .075 to a .05 pt stroke on the white.the black would slightly over print.

Don't want to overstep here, but we do heat transfer, embroidery and DTG. Could you mix media and vinyl cut the silhouette and then screen your text. One less screen, registration is easy , no blocking. Not sure on your qty and hope I'm not offending.

Don't think you can screen print over vinyl although I may try this might be worth knowing for special effects. Vinyl is much more expensive. Even with the cost of screen unless it less than 4 shirts.

Don't over think this. White text reversed out of the black artwork. Butt registration. Black down first. 110-180M. Flash. White next. 110M. Print, flash, print depending upon white used. If your screens are good, straight and mesh tension is drumhead tight, with proper off contact, this should print up nice and crispy with a decent hand.

When I was told this few months ago, I did not believe it. Tried, and worked like a charm.

Print your seps with no traps. Expose.
Set it up so you print black first. Print black, flash, print white, flash, print white again and into the dryer.

Your white will gain (grow) a bit and that will trap the black underneath (black has to have letters knocked out). This way you will not have those weird edges on the lettering when black is printed over the trapped white.

Good luck
