I have a customer who wants me to add rhinestones to the collar and cuffs of a dress shirt. I haven't ever done this....I normally don't add rhinestones to someone's existing item, but I would like to help her with this.
Has anyone done this? Does anyone have any tips or advice for how to do this? I greatly appreciate it!!

I put stones on collars and cuffs a lot using my hat press.
Thanks!

Can I ask you....how do you make the rhinestone template for the collar stones? I think the cuff one I can do because it will be pretty much a rectangle, but I'm not sure my drawing/design skills can figure out how to make a template that will fit the collar. Or do you just make it extra big, do the stones and then cut off the part that is too big? Any suggestions? Thanks!

If I take this job, I will purchase a hat press before I do it. I've been on the fence about getting one for awhile now anyway.

I make a paper template of the collar and cuff so I have size and shape needed. Scan it into the computer and use that in my design program as a guide.

Jane, thank you!!! My goodness, I would never have come up with that. I'm not as clever as a lot of people doing this...... :)

Charles, thank you for the hat press advice. You've helped me all along this journey, and I appreciate it very much.
