Hi, I'm new here, so first: I've done some t-shirt screen prints yet and I've searched a comunity like t-shirtforums is one. My english is not the best, but I think its going to be better.

Ok, my request:

I've seen some very nice shirt designs ( and above all techniques) like these two: http://imaginaryfoundation.com/image_detail.php?uid=FC3499
http://www.eioclothing.com/img/products/large/124.jpg

I send these two companies emails, in which I asked, what kind of print method they used, and both answered, it were Screen Printing.

Any ideas how they did it? I think they used something like "raster gradients" or "halftones".

Thanks a lot,

Cleans

both look like normal multi colored printing.
Top design (girl)
Just looks like water based inks or regular plasticol inks reduced back with a cureable reducer to get the soft feel and transparent look to the inks. Probably printed wet on wet for on press mixing.
Bottom Design (dice)
regular plasticol printing using gradient blends on a white underbase. Looks like you can see some fibrelation so the underbase was probably a higher mesh fram with just enough ink to make the top color pop
Colors look like tripple pigment magenta, cyan and yellow inks.

Might not be this exactly but a good educated guess.
