Adhesive seeping out

Hi! Im new to heat pressing shirts and I am starting to learn to layer. I have tried subtracting and layering and just plain layering and get the same result every time. The adhesive leaks out and surrounds the vinyl. Everyone has recommended that its my pressure and I have tried lowering it to the point the vinyl wouldnt even stick. So I dont think that is it. Does anyone have any other suggestions to help solve my problem? Thank you!
