This morning I tried to print from Accurip and it would only come up with an invalid authentication message and nothing else . I upgraded to the latest AVG antivirus last week and thought that was not allowing Accurip web access as it was the only thing I had installed on my computer recently . Took me a couple of hours to solve it because I was looking at the wrong area for the problem . So if anyone else has the same issue here is the fix . I am using a Windows 7 operating system .

The problem

"Most likely your computer has updated and altered the registry file creating the Authentication Invalid error. Easy fix." quote from software for screenprinters knowledge base

ACC-0515

I downloaded the Accurip update installer removed my old Accurip , installed the new one and back in business it even kept my registration details .

The old version of Accurip I had was Version 1.1.110.0 and the new version is 1.2.35.0

Do take note of the warning to ensure you have the Epson printer driver loaded first .

Just happy to have Accurip back online , it is only when you need it you find out it has all gone to worms .

Win 7 certainly made a mess of all my equipment. A lot of the programs only sort of work with it. So frustrating. I wish they would stop upgrading stuff. I'm sure there will be a lot of others new to Win 7 who will have the same nightmare with accurip. Hopefully, they'll find your post here and won't lose all the sleep that I did over it.

Also win7 has the ability to run programs in compatibility mode I have been able to make programs work I couldn't use in years. 1 thing you may check is that almost all new pc have 64bit. There is plenty of info on the net on how to make programs work properly even some of the old win 98 stuff.
