A Question about Selling Directly to a Celebrity

Hi All,

Wasnt sure where to put this, so I will ask it here. I have pitched a T-Shirt design directly to a celebrity. They loved the design, and I offered to have two printed (one M and one F) for them. I approached this as giving a complimentary shirt for them to wear, but charging subsequently to fans who might then want to buy their own.

Is that the right way to go about this? Should I have charged them for the shirts/shipping? Theres no actual committment to make this available to fans afterward, although that was the vague understanding I got. New to this and trying to keep the rookie mistakes to a minimum. Any input?

Thanks!

Never charge the people willing to support you for free! As long as they promote the shirt via Twitter and Facebook or whatever else they use and give you promotional plugs then it is great for you!
A vauge understanding could end up in a lawsuit, you need all details in writing and signed by all parties involved
The only mistake is when you sent them you should have made sure that you were retaining all rights to the design. Although doesn't really need to be said cause it is still your design, they mave taken it otherwise and possibly try to get something similar done somewhere else.
