Hello Everyone,
My name is Stacey and my boyfriend and I are opening a second business to offer custom vinyl, car wraps, signs, shirts and such to go along with our existing window tint shop, Tint Brevard. My boyfriend has tinted and done vinyl and car wraps for the last ten years and a little over a year a half ago we decided to open a shop of our own.
We are both already employed full time, I have been an emergency room and trauma paramedic for the only trauma center in our county the last ten years and my boyfriend works as a firefighter/paramedic for the city we live in.
The point of telling you all of that is to give you background on how busy we are and where the idea and our start up for the second business really got its push. The fire department's union had been donated an entire setup for a commercial size screen printing operation many years ago and wasn't used in quite a few years and due to downsizing in their union hall, took up way too much room and they had decided it was time for it to go.
Point being, the union gave him the whole setup, for free, as long as we do stuff for the department and what not. Him being busy with the tint shop and fire department has left me to learning everything I can about this whole screen printing process.
Weeks of videos later and tons of research, the shop is finally coming along, all the equipment has been moved to our new bay and organized. We have some orders from some of the guys at the department's side businesses.
The equipment is old but works well as far as I can tell and have been able to find literature/manuals on just about every piece. Only thing undecided is the new business name! I have used this site for research for the past few weeks and decided to make an account. Look forward to picking everyone's brains as we get into this project.
