I am an established designer looking to expand my work onto shirts and other media.

At the moment given my variety of designs and the work I do for some relatively large bands I think Heat Press is the best way to go.

However I have a problem, when I was a young'un we would make our own t shirts with Iron on transfer paper - please tell me the quality is much improved? If left unprinted the paper would still leave a glossy mark the size of a4 (unless cut) - which was a pain in the ***.

Does Heat press utilize a different method/paper whereby just the design/ink can be seen or is the paper still visible?

Also how does one print white onto black?

I'm reading about these plastisol transfers, which really do seem to be the way to go, but struggling to find suppliers in UK.

Many thanks!
