Hey,

I know the questions are random, but I have a few and thought best to put it al on one thread than hoard the front page.

1) I'm guessing hi-vis garments re ok to press... I want to print hi-viz vest for the equine market and have seen a lot with various prints on the back, so does anyone else do this before I melt a non cotton garment?

2) Does anyone have a preferred place which is cost efficient for smaller orders of clothing labels? Preferably in the West Midlands?

3) I've read a lot on the forums here about laser printers and took the advice of many users by purchasing the xerox 6110N. I was wondering if anyone had any preference on the user settings? I've printed a few bits on normal paper which look great, and understand (I think) that the "thick paper" option is best, but does anything else need tinkering with?

Many thanks!

Hi Kelly

Heat pressing onto Hi-viz vests is fine, just put some teflon/silicone paper over the transfer as usual and use the correct heat setting's and you'll be fine ;)

I work with a lot of Xerox production kit, we don't have any consumer level Xerox printers. But in my experience, you should only need to start changing user settings if you're not happy with the quality! If your prints are coming out okay then you shouldn't need to worry. The thick paper setting usually just slows down the printer to minimise jams.
