6,000 pcs 5 color - How long to complete?

How long should it take a manual printer on a chameleon press to do 5 color (white, red, gray, black, highlight white) on Navy tees, 6,000 pcs? Just looking for an average of what you would expect to get done. Any feedback is welcome. Thanks

If you set a good pace, probably about 100 hours. That's printing at 60 shirts an hour.

1. Unload/Load - 10 seconds
2. Print/Flash - 20 seconds
3. Print each color - 25 seconds combined

Some could go faster, and some slower. My recommendation, don't be afraid to get quote for someone running an auto. It might save the headache and hassle. It won't tie up your press and I think you might be a happier person in the end. ;)
thought about sourcing it out, but I hate the thought of putting my reputation in the hands of somebody else.
I do have another person that will print a couple of the colors in the sequence, hoping to get it done faster than that.
There's quite a few companies on these forums that do excellent work. The only way I would manually print these was if I was committed to taking the money I made and put it towards an auto. Other than that, since you don't have an auto, I'd heavily consider outsourcing it.
Only one other problem. They need them by the 7th. Do you think that would be a problem with some of theauto printers? Also, are any in the philadelphia area?
Thanks, I appreciate you input. I will have a look.
I have worked on auto's before getting my own thing going and I know the difference in speed. So far I have been able to get by with the manual. I have been putting off the auto so far. I am starting to feel the squeeze though. As with any business, I just never wanted to expand too far too quickly.
There's no way you could print those by the 7th on a manual. I wouldn't even try. We could print those in two days. And they would all look great and all look the same.
I would outsource that type of volume- especially on dark tees and flashing.
Outdabox does a great job. He saved my tail last year around this time.

Even if not us, please find someone you can trust with a machine.... that's waaay to many strokes to do manually even if you had 2 months to do it.

Agreed 100%. Not smart to do that manually.
