I have been in sublimation for years and the question you should ask is 'can I do a really good commercial shirt with 50/50?' and the answer is NO....none can you press on the 50/50,,,yes.. and at first it will look pretty good ...until you wash it...if you want the grunge look..that will be it...Because sublimation only bonds...becomes part of the fiber...with 100% polyester

Hi Steven. All shirts fade very slightly when first washed, but with most types of garment decoration, you would struggle to see any difference.

Take a 50/50 poly cotton shirt though, printed up with sublimation inks and it will look OK when sold, but you'll end up with a very annoyed customer when it gets put through its first wash cycle. You'll end up with a significantly faded look to the garment.

50/50 poly cotton fabrics really aren't worth all the hassles you'll inevitably get, for a small saving on price.

When checking with reputable sublimation vendors, you may see where thet are offering 50/50 blend shirts. Call and ask specifics. If a sublimation vendor is offering 50/50 belsmd shirts the shirts should poly. on the OUTSIDE and cotton on the INSIDE.
