Hey gang,

I hope everyone is doing well. Have you ever wondered how many tee shirts you can print an hour? Well, now is the time to find out! Join the 5 Minute Manual Screen Printing Challenge!

The rules are to print as many t-shirts as possible within 5 minutes time. There can only be one person doing the loading, printing and unloading. It has to be done on a manual screen printing press. Just a one color print. You may print the t-shirt color of your choice and print color of your choice. You may choice the ink type of your choice (i.e. plastisol, water base, or discharge). Start your timer and begin printing. Only t-shirts that have been printed and loaded onto the conveyor dryer count. Upload your video to YouTube and name it 5 Minute Manual Screen Printing Challenge!

Have fun and I can't wait to see what you guys do!

impressive speed! I notice your shirts slide on and off your platens easily - do you not put tack adhesive on them? I'm pretty religious about putting tack on but you seem to be doing really great and saving a ton of time with your technique. I guess for a 1-color print, your shirts don't need to be secured so well.

Thank you! I do use tack adhesive. For this job, it didn't require much since it was one color and all it took was one hit to print the tees nicely. I didn't have to spray but every 50 tees or so? For multi color jobs or a white print on a dark tee, I normally spray flash adhesive every 10 shirts or so. With this particular job, You could see when the tee started pulling up and needed more spray.

Nice video Mikey. I hope some people try the challenge and post up their videos. Could be very interesting!

Thanks, Bill. I hope so too! I'm interested to see how other printer's shops function and to see other screen printers get involved with a simple manual setup more so than whether not they could be beat me. :)

I am just a beginner and most of my jobs are between 50 and 150 tees at a time. Now I have a time management goal to work at.

Great video and demonstration.
Thank you. I'm fairly new at screen printing. I've been a graphic designer in the industry for 14 years, but this is my first venture into actually printing.

Most my jobs are normally in the 12-300 range. This was my first job of 1,000 and I'm regularly getting more inquiries about quantities of 500 to 1,000. I hope to get an automatic in the near future once I regularly get 1,000 + quantities.
